Our listings of sources of business information on the Internet are not intended to be comprehensive. There is a heavy European bias but we do list sites that cover other areas of the world. How are sites selected for inclusion? Many of the sites are discovered during normal day-to-day searching and browsing on the Web. We also identify potentially useful sites via newsletters, press releases and suggestions from users and site owners. Sites are assessed on a number of criteria including depth of coverage, how up-to-date they are, accuracy, ease of use and accessibility, and unique features. A site may be included in more than one category. Is there a charge for adding a site to the list? There is no charge for including a site in our listings. How long does it take for a suggested site to be listed? It varies. If you suggest a site, it may be a week or a month before it is evaluated and added to the relevant section. We may not add a site at all - even though it may be a quality site - if it does not fit into any of our existing categories. However, such sites are kept on file and are periodically reviewed; they may be added at a later date if we create a new category that is appropriate for the site. What are the selection criteria for the Day-to-Day Essentials? This is a purely personal selection and is based on those sites that we use on a regular basis for routine tasks and administration, for example post codes, telephone numbers, train times. How do I submit a site? Simply send us the details via the Contact Form |
